Right after the "Big Freeze"

FIRST:

This is only for people who are already determined they are going to use Dry Ice no matter what...and they want to know what to expect....AND they understand it is all done at there own risk....THIS IS NOT A SET OF INSTRUCTIONS. IT IS ONLY A REFERENCE BUILT FROM OF MY EXPERIENCE. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

It is highly recommend that you see a doctor if you have a Plantar Wart

My Notes:

**ALWAYS MEDICAL USE GLOVES ..._OR ELSE YOU COULD GET MORE!!!

**Remember to continually clean with Hydrogen Peroxide, Antiseptic Spray and Triple Antibiotic Cream. Every time it is cleaned, put a new band-aid on as well.

I Purchased Dry Ice for $3.00/lb at the local beer distributor.

Below shows the progress on Day #1:

Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture prior to setting the Dry Ice to Wart.

9:15 PM -

Pain Level - 4 or 5 of 10 (only if bumped) , 3 of 10 consistently

I cut away the dry callus without making the Wart bleed.

9:20 PM -

Pain Level - 5 or 6 of 10, spiking up to 10 of 10 before removing Dry Ice

I applied Dry Ice (used an oven mitt to hold the Dry Ice). Starting in the very center of the Wart, I held the Dry Ice to it until the burn was unbearable; it only took about 60-90 seconds. Then I moved the Dry Ice to freeze just around the parameter of the Wart, hitting just a very small amount of good skin (the less good skin the better). I held the Dry Ice as before: 60-90 seconds on each new spot. I did this "start and stop" application of the Dry Ice for 10 minutes.

9:32 PM -

Pain Level - 4 or 5 of 10, higher when bumped.

Below is a picture of the Wart 2 minutes after holding the Dry Ice on for 8-10 minutes (BUT not constantly!!). There was only a small amount of dark area in the middle before putting the Dry Ice on the wart. You are in effect giving yourself Frost Bite.

9:30 PM

12:30 AM

Pain Level - 7 or 8 of 10, jumped to 10 of 10 when trimming / re-freezing (this was the most painful step)

I re-cut the dry callus skin (very little callus was removed, because the skin was sensitive - you don't want to cause bleeding. Unfortunately I did a little bit).

I also re-applied the Dry Ice for another 5 minutes (on-and-off) after cutting off more callus.

The below picture was taken after cleaning it with Hydrogen Peroxide, Antiseptic Spray and Triple Antibiotic Cream. Added a band-aid as well.

CLEAN!! CLEAN!! CLEAN!! CLEAN!!

The morning after...

Day #2:

9:30 AM -

Pain Level - 6 of 10 (only if bumped)

It was turning dark color, but it was looking a lot better! Clean, Clean, Clean! New Band-aid too.

4:30 PM -

Pain Level - 5 of 10 (only if bumped)

Still seems to be drying out and dying. The color is still getting darker as well.

Still lookin' good!

Day 3 -

4:30 PM - Very little pain. Easy to bend my finger again! Looks to be pretty much completely dead too.

Pain Level - 1 of 10 (only if bumped - just uncomfortable)

More to come!
